Hi! I’m Mia.
I am a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Public Relations and a minor in Sports Media and Communication.

About Me *
My career in communications began when I helped launch my aunt’s boutique on Instagram and TikTok, growing its TikTok audience to more than 30,000 followers. That experience showed me how strategic content and community engagement can build a brand from the ground up. At Texas Tech, I continued developing those skills through my sorority’s public relations team, where I helped promote Delta After Dark, a concert that raised $10,000 for St. Jude.
After transferring to UT Austin, I joined the marketing team at Rambler, a new student housing community. Before the building opened, I supported social media, influencer partnerships, campus outreach, property tours, and leasing campaigns that contributed to a fully leased opening. I also conceptualized and promoted a 500-person puppy adoption event that generated 23 leases and helped six dogs find homes.
At USI Insurance Services, I expanded into corporate communications by creating employee presentations, benefits guides, and internal communication materials for multiple offices. Through Hook’d Magazine, I gained experience in entertainment media by producing social content, interviewing emerging artists, and covering major Austin events including ACL Festival and Formula 1.
As a Public Relations Intern at Love Advertising, I supported campaigns for clients including the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, YMCA of Greater Houston, Fervo Energy, and Crime Stoppers of Houston. My work included drafting media materials, conducting media and influencer research, tracking campaign coverage, supporting experiential activations, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
At SMC Media Creative Lab, I created social-first photo, video, and motion content while monitoring campaign performance and audience engagement. Most recently, as Brand Strategy and Creative Intern for Missed Call Mezcal, I have helped shape an early-stage brand through audience research, buyer personas, brand identity, social strategy, performance analysis, website copy, merchandise development, and event planning.
I am also completing UT Austin’s Project Management Certificate Program and preparing for the CAPM exam. Across each experience, I have been most drawn to work that combines research, creativity, storytelling, and strategy to build stronger connections between brands and their audiences.
